I installed one above and one below my gpu and my gpu is very quiet now. No more racing fan noise.Easy install. Worked as expected in an HP desktop PC.This is amazing, my temp gpu dropped from 56C to 36C. And now after overclocking while running games, my temp can be under 83C. It's a life changer!Haven't been able to test it yet but was easy enough to install. Waiting on power adapter to complete test but I will update if anything of interest comes up.This thing blows air out pretty well. A real good assist to my overworked gtx 1080.I like computer HW made by Star Tech. They are all high quality. These definitely keep things cool, but they are LOUD. Had three of them and it sounded like there was a vacuum on in my room. If noise is not an issue for you, then they work great.fixing my old pc from early 2010, and it's a decent 32 bit system that works wonders with old games that don't run very well on 64 bit pc's, but overtime it needs some maintenance, one of my biggest issues was obviously cleaning and restoring the motherboard, graphics card, cpu, heatsink and fans. the fans are the generic ones that do the job, but airflow is kinda weak by comparison to the more powerful ones, i don't really need them because it's an old pc, kinda expensive and not really necessary. When i finished cleaning/fixing my pc I did some testing to check if there’s any issues and thankfully it works perfectly fine but the air flow especially around the bottom of the graphics card is very weak, so people have recommend this Exhaust Cooling Fan to me. for 8$ its a steal, very easy to set up, the only thing you need is a nail that fits into the metal fan case. works perfectly and now the pc finally has proper cooling that prevents overheating. The sales pitch said 0dB which is impossible, so I had my suspicions. The fans are way too powerful and EXTREMELY noisy at 12V, but run with sufficient flow at 5V which can be achieved by inserting a 39 Ohm 2W resistor in BOTH lines to drop 7V. 5V is above the fan's starting threshold, so no need for a starter capacitor. Still very good airflow, but practically inaudible. The metal plate is rubbish! One of the locating slots in the mounting ledge is too short causing the ledge to foul with the PC case locating lug so the fans cannot be seated the whole way down! That slot needs to be filed out to another mm to clear the locating lug. Cheap Chinese garbage! Once these VERY SERIOUS issues are sorted the fans work fine, BUT WHY SHOULD THE BUY NEED TO GO THROUGH THE HASSLE? GET SOME ENGINEERS! A fan is supposed to draw air in or pull air out depending on the blade shape, rotation, and which side you install it. This one has a manufacturer defect in that the blade touches the plate it is attached to, resulting in a fan that does not spin. I had to give it a slight offset in order for it to keep spinning. I'm still within the return window but it's too much hassle to go through the RMA process so instead will avoid StarTech next time.
